The Assignment
For some couples, choosing a location is about the view.
For these two, it was about the story.
Six years ago, they found each other in Wyoming. When it came time to plan their engagement session, they wanted photographs that honored where it all began—surrounded by mountains, wildflowers, and the landscape that had quietly become part of their story.
The Location
Just west of Cody, on the road to Yellowstone’s East Entrance, Wayfarers Chapel overlooks the North Fork of the Shoshone River and the Absaroka Mountains. In midsummer, the meadows come alive with native wildflowers, including common yarrow—a perennial long associated with endurance, healing, and lasting affection. It’s a landscape that feels both wild and welcoming, making it a fitting place to begin a new chapter.
The Reflection
Some places stay with us.
Sometimes it’s because of the view. Sometimes it’s because of the people we shared it with. sometimes, a place becomes part of the story itself.
For these two, Wyoming wasn’t simply where they met.
It was where they found each other.
